Don't know how to answer the question WRT Flickr. The photos are marked "public" able to be viewed ay anyone. But I do see what you mean. Shall I email them to you? And yes I kind of understand the Altec/helicopter issue, but at this point in time its really hard to go back and get the full story, therefore when the statement about Apocalypse Now was made, I thought for sure the Universitys were in the film. Regardless, as stated before, lots of new interesting things have come about in this post.
Now for something completely different... How do we explain this....

The University horn on the Cessna looks very much like the horn on the chopper in Apocalypse Now. I thought for sure that I had posted a still of it, but can't find it. Oh well. Makes sense that they would use it for the film. It's period correct and small enough to fly. I have no idea what else was used in the war. But it does seem that both were used extensively, from the lit. Was there actually any disagreement about that?

There are University "B-12's" in the movie, they are "mounted" and very much in the middle of action, don't let anyone convince you otherwise.
Please note that i haven't mentioned any aircraft.
I'm not sure a screen shot would be appropriate as the best view of a BT-12 is on a patrol boat with a bare assed soldier standing next to it. But, i'll post one a bit later anyway cause i'm just that kinda guy.
That's the same horn and cage that is mounted on the chopper. I wonder if they picked that up in the P.I. or brought it down with them from San Francisco?

First that's why I prefer Photobucket over Flickr less issues IMO.
Second I see you are getting adds in your browser when viewing the site. You must be getting mixed up with a guest account.I would try logging out of the Altec User Board and then log back in problem should be solved. If not let me know.
Actually, I was, still am logged in. So, I can't explain the difficulty. When I tried to upload the photos the THIS website, it took forever, like more than 10 minutes per shot, and I did a preview of the post and showed nothing go uploaded. Then went onto Flickr, and did the same with avout 10 minutes for all three. (dialup of course, sucks, too). If I just go to view what I have there, for whatever reason, I do get ads too. Maybe just because I have the free account, and don't want to upgrade? I don't mind AOL. Using on a DSL or Cable works pretty good (depends on which daughters house I'm at.)
